It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Laura Wilkerson. Laura worked here at the Owen County Public Library for over 28 years, and during that time, she touched countless lives with her laughter, expertise, and dedication. Her passion for helping others uncover their family histories and stories will be greatly missed.
Laura’s sudden and unexpected passing has left a profound void in our library family, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was not only a colleague, but a friend, and a guiding light to so many who sought her help and guidance. Her legacy will live on in the countless genealogical journeys she helped others begin.
We ask that you keep Laura’s family, friends, and all of us at the library in your thoughts as we navigate this difficult time. Thank you for the many years of support, and for honoring Laura’s memory in the days and years to come.
