Free Tax Preparation Available At OCPL
The Free Community Tax Service continues this year at the Owen County Public Library (OCPL) from February 6th through April 8th. If you would like to have Internal Revenue Service certified volunteers prepare your Federal and State tax returns at no cost, you may call the Library beginning January 29th at 812-829-3392, extension 1 to schedule an appointment. This year we will have over 200 appointments. To qualify for this service you must have $56,000 or less in adjusted gross income and have a simple tax situation. We will not be able to prepare returns with sales of property, self-employment income or rental income.
Volunteers are available on Thursday and Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
