In order to take all precautions, and out of concern for our patrons, our staff, their families, and the Owen County Community in general, the Owen County Public Library will be closed until at least April 3.

We are following the example of many local and national organizations in attempting to limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

All programs, events, and outreach are canceled, including Bookmobile services and the use of the Community Room. The March Library Board meeting has been postponed.

Please don’t worry about returning materials at this time. OCPL has a fine-free system, so no late fees for overdue materials will be charged.

Remember that the library has free wi-fi available from outside the building 24 hours per day, and no password is necessary to access it. Patrons are welcome to drive up or sit in the outside seating to use the wi-fi.

We also have e-books, magazines, and movies available online through our website, using your library card number and password.

Only the Adult Education Program will continue at this time, as that program is subject to a separate administration.

The current situation, now designated a national emergency, is evolving rapidly, and we will be evaluating it constantly.

Please check owenlib.org for further information about your local library, and cdc.gov/coronavirus for further details about the coronavirus.

Thank you for your patience at this time
