Message to our library patrons, board members, and Friends of the Library:
Wow! We miss you all so much! Although our building is closed to the public to help protect the health and safety of our community, our staff has still been working, sometimes in new and unique ways. We have expanded our online collection, we have automatically renewed all checked out items, have extended library expiration dates, and even created library accounts for those requesting library cards. On our Facebook page we have had fun creating resources for children and caregivers at home. We hope you have enjoyed the daily mini lessons, the scavenger hunt, the virtual field trips to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, the Georgia Aquarium, the Eiteljorg Museum, Salt Creek Wildflowers, Silly Safari’s, and music from Kelly and Emily Ann Thompson, and more. These are all still available on Facebook. We are daily watching the metrics posted on IN.gov to help determine when reopening is advisable. We are preparing for a reopening, equipping ourselves with safety equipment and devising ways to operate in the safest way we can. While the future is currently uncertain, we do look forward to seeing you all again soon. Please stay safe.
